Well not back on the best term but not the worst either I suppose. didn’t stay at rehab long but not because I didn’t want to. My ex (then current boyfriend) was causing alot of problems for me and I decided I needed to move out ASAP. So I took my stuff and left and got a new job. I haven’t returned to rehab, or really gone to any meetings but im staying clean from the one drug that I could never let go of (cocaine). Still drink occasionally, probably take a few too many painkillers but i”m getting by the only way I know how right now with the minimal support.
    Hope everyone is doing well

I’m actually feeling pretty crappy and lots of health problems are coming about. Ive been having bouts of internal bleeding (they dont know the cause and I wouldnt let myself be admitted) so im on some medication i have to take twice a day which usually works but sometimes it doesnt. They keep giving me bullshit reasons why but its not normal for it to keep happening but what can you do. Im just glad im off what i was struggling to stay clean from…the rest i’ll work on later and im planning on maybe finding a meeting somewhere. nice to see you guys

Glad you made it back Tanya! 🙂

The one most “probable” reason for your health problems (and most of ours too) is because of the drugs and/or alcohol abuse. “IMO”

“Whew”, that is a dangerous mix mixing alcohol and painkillers. At least you have taken a big step and stopped using coke. 🙂

Hope to keep hearing from you. 🙂

I know this is naggy, but it’s because I care. I’m glad you’re not doing coke anymore and it was your demon (didn’t it also cause a problem with your septum)

The bleeding could absolutely be from painkillers. Heck, even with prescription strength ibuprofen they tell you to eat because it can cause ulcers. Maybe have some medical tests oupatient to start with if you don’t want to be admitted?

    Glad your back.
I am happy you are staying off the powder.
Sorry to hear about the rest. But baby steps …right?
    Your getting there.

    Welcome back!

Watch out with those painkillers … you might learn one day that there are drugs even harder to quit than blow!!

    Take care

Having been hooked on both myself, seperately, I’d say, without a doubt, the pain pills were harder, the wd’s, and the after effects last longer, as does the mental hooks. Replacing the “blow” with pain pills, (and beer), is likely why it’s easy to stay off the “blow”.

Substituting one for another does not equal progress; does not lessen any of associated issue’s.

“Getting by the only way you know how”.

I hope you get the chance to learn another way.

When I was doing things the only way “I” knew how, well I later realized I was my own problem. My own thinking got me into the mess, how was my own thinking going to get me out?
The number one reason why we should go to meetings… So we can learn what others have found worked. The only way I knew how wasn’t working. Drugs are drugs and replacing one for another or replacing drugs with alcohol only moves us sideways.
Progress is a forward motion not a sideways motion.

Glad that you let go of the coke but untill you look to move forward, not sideways… you stand a good chance of returning to right where you were.

Get your butt to some meetings so you can start a forward motion.
