My drug of choice is alcohol and I have been sober for a few weeks now. However, I take 2mg of Klonopin a day for severe anxiety. I recently went cold turkey off of it and had a nightmare withdrawal. I couldn’t refill my prescription because I had taken “a few” extra during the month. I find Klonopin to be great “hangover helpers”. I asked my doctor to switch me to Ativan or Valium & he had the nerve to say no. Can I consider myself clean & sober if I take the
Klonopin as prescribed? I have been on it for nearly 6 months now & realize that I am physically addicted. Thanks everyone.
