InactiveWell, tonight I said my 3rd step prayer with my sponsor before the rest of his pigeons came to do tonight’s sponsor/sponsee work. He gave us each a set of instructions, worksheets etc. for the 4th step. I am ready and willing. I’ve been working with my sponsor and God just long enough to feel good about heading into these uncharted waters. Gone is the paralyzing fear I once had of the 4th and 5th step and I realize that the fear was there because I never gave working with a sponsor long enough to establish a firm relationship and trust. So, here we go, tomorrow I put pen to paper and will work on this task until it is complete and ready to be 5th stepped, so help me God.

InactiveBP I can attest that a good 4th step followed by a good 5th will lead to the promises of the 5th step:
Once we have taken this step, withholding nothing, we are delighted. We can look the world in the eye. We can be alone at perfect peace and ease. Our fears fall from us. We begin to feel the nearness of our Creator. We may have had certain spiritual beliefs, but now we begin to have a spiritual experience. The feeling that the drink problem has disappeared will often come strongly. We feel we are on the Broad Highway, walking hand in hand with the Spirit of the Universe.
What a joy this feeling is, liberating is putting it mildly!
Keep it up BP!
