About a month ago, I got on this forum and told how I went to a networking event and chickened out and left. About two weeks after, I got a call from a member of the event asking me to speak at their next luncheon. I said I would and today I knocked the ball out of the park.
I received some great suggestions the last time I posted on here. I was able to think things through and keep things in a positive light. I do a fair amount of public speaking and I am able to guage the receptiveness of the audience by surveying their body language. I noticed that everyone felt comfortable and there was a great deal of interaction by the audience. I left feeling confident and just at ease.
Thanks everyone for the kind words and for all the shared stories. It really helps.
