Inactivechecked into rehab today. Maybe you guys remember her reaching out to me this summer at a graduation party. She had relapsed after many years sober.
She called last week and didn’t leave a message..I called her right back and she didn’t pick up, it went straight to voice mail. I’ve been worried about her, then the weekend came and things got crazy around here.
I’m really really glad that she’s taken this step!! Just wanted to share that helps out there if you are brave enough to accept it..

InactiveGood to know that when she reached out, she had you there to help, and to lead by example.

You did help…probably more than you will ever know…She reached out to you because she saw the difference in you.
Can you leave her a message just to tell her you are thinking about her and are there for her?
Something I began doing is to contact the Recovery Center and i go to support them during a meeting…I don’t share…but they know I am there for them. ….and it is great practice for me to just listen.

Hon that door is open for you to help, just let her know that when she gets out you would love to go to her first meeting with her! Think about how easy that first meeting would have been for you if you had a friend in recovery to go with.
