InactiveI had more than a couple of weeks but I slipped up and took a shot. Back to the board again. I am tired of this ….. need some courage.

InactiveDon’t give up. Dust yourself off and keep on trying. Don’t see yourself as starting from zero, just look at it as a learning experience. You can do this thing.

InactiveMy name is new to the forum, but I’m far from new to the disease.
Skunkape is absolutely right, whatever you do, don’t quit quitting. Alcohol is a cunning, baffling and powerful foe, many of us did not stop on our first attempts. Even if those beginning attempts where the half-hearted “I’ll NEVER do this again if I just get through this one”.
You can do this, keep on keeping on. It’s not easy, but it definitely can get done and gets a heck of a lot easier as time goes by.

InactiveHey Pepsi,
I’m another one that tries so hard and then slips and then gives in and then thinks hard about WHY it happened and then picks up and tries again. I’m still trying and I am not giving up. I am going to keep trying until I beat this …THING.Hugs – you CAN DO IT!

InactiveWell i know it’s not the ultimate goal, but everytime you succeed in not drinking for a couple of weeks, you give your body a break, time to recover… You’re much better of than you would have been if you hadn’t tried…

InactiveYour story reminds me of The Wizard of Oz giving the Lion a medal of honor so he could believe he had courage and was no longer cowardly. Just the fact that you have demonstrated the courage to change is enough for all of us to give to you sweet (((pepsifreek))) your very own cyber medal of honor for getting on the road that leads to the doing of the next right thing!
:c005:
You can do it!
