Kind of an odd question, but is there some sort of connection between eating sugary foods like cake, candy, ice cream and what not and setting off cravings for booze?

I always heard that it’s ok to eat sweets during early recovery to help curb the cravings. But out of my hundred or so false starts over the years when I do eat sweets it seems to later on really make the cravings come in roaring like an Lion. So I’ve been trying an experiment and haven’t had any sweets for the last 12 days and other then some white knuckling the first 2 days I’ve been feeling pretty good and have had zero cravings for either.

    Anybody else relate to this?
