I am sorry you are so offended by another’s opinion…Understand though, we are all here for support of each other- and that support is different for each of us…
some may take an easy approach, others may be a bit abrasive, others tip toe around…the list goes on…
I am quite sure that most, if not all of us here speak from the heart-
There is a saying in NA that says “take what you need and leave the rest”…I think it fits here.
I hope you find some peace with the anxiety and depression and the addictions…I really do..
Keep on posting.
Keep on reading.

I can see why that offends you, well don’t mind what others are saying and be strong. Also perhaps see another dr who understands more about addiction as it seems to me you’re on strange cocktails of meds.

Hi Lizrox. I was somewhat taken aback by the tone of that post as well, and it wasn’t even directed at me. I can certainly understand your being offended. Who knows, maybe the poster was having a bad day for whatever reason. Just don’t let it get you down and keep up the recovery!August 2, 2012 at 9:23 pm#106268AnonymousInactive
Don’t let anyone get in your way towerd recovery.
That being said, I would do what ever necessary to get clear and if that means some sort of medication to keep you grounded while recovering, only you know. Just don’t trick yourself and create another problem.
I looked for all kinds of ways to “step” myself off of drugs and alcohol. What finally worked was being totally honest with myself and that clear head, energized and motivated feeling that was lost for many years. It’s a wonderful feeling and I know you are going to find it.
My thoughts and prayers are with you!
